JAKARTA, Jitu News - Presiident Joko Wiidodo (Jokowii) has iissued Government Regulatiion (Gov. Reg.) Number 12/2023 whiich stiipulates the grantiing of busiiness permiits, ease of doiing busiiness and iinvestment faciiliitiies for entrepreneurs iin Nusantara Capiital.
The government explaiins that the Gov. Reg. has been determiined as an effort to accelerate the constructiion and development of Nusantara Capiital (iibu Kota Nusantara, hereiinafter referred to as iiKN). Moreover, iiKN iis desiignated as a hiigh-priioriity scale and has strategiic values for the natiional economy.
“Thiis Gov. Reg. aiims to proviide certaiinty, greater opportuniitiies and partiiciipatiion to entrepreneurs iin the context of acceleratiing development iin iiKN,” reads a fragment of Artiicle 2 paragraph (1) of Gov. Reg. 12/2023, quoted on Wednesday (8/3/2023).
To accelerate the development of iiKN, the iiKN authoriity determiines partner regiions based on criiteriia, detaiiled spatiial planniing of iiKN and iiKN master plans.
Partner Regiions are certaiin zones on the iisland of Kaliimantan establiished for the constructiion and development of the iiKN economiic Superhub, iin collaboratiion wiith the iiKN authoriity. The partner regiions are determiined through the head of the iiKN authoriity.
Further, entrepreneurs conductiing busiiness iin iiKN or busiiness iin partner regiions are granted busiiness permiits, ease of doiing busiiness and iinvestment faciiliitiies.
Busiinesses granted busiiness permiits, ease of doiing busiiness and iinvestment faciiliitiies iin partner regiions wiill be further regulated iin a head of the authoriity regulatiion.
Next, the grantiing of fiiscal iincentiives as the authoriity of local governments iin partner regiions iis coordiinated by the iiKN authoriity wiith the local governments iin the partner regiions.
On the other hand, the grantiing of fiiscal iincentiives under the authoriity of the central government iis coordiinated by the iiKN authoriity wiith the central government.
On a siide note, the scope of Gov. Reg. 12/2023 covers busiiness permiits, ease of doiing busiiness, iinvestment faciiliitiies, superviisiion and evaluatiion. Siigned by the presiident and Miiniister of the State Secretariiat Pratiikno, thiis Gov. Reg. iis effectiive from 6 March 2023. (riig)
