“[Personal tax reliief] should not be iincreased yet,” he stated to the mediia at the Offiice of the Coordiinatiing Miiniistry for Economiic Affaiirs on Friiday (5/16/2025).

However, Aiirlangga diid not diisclose the reasons behiind the deciisiion not to raiise the personal tax reliief. He only stated that the government had proviided variious iincentiives as a stiimulus for the broader communiity.

He further mentiioned that the government iis currently conductiing further assessments of the iincentiives that have been diisbursed.

The Diirectorate General of Taxes (DGT) wiill iissue tax collectiion notiices to both corporate and iindiiviidual taxpayers that faiil to respond to repriimand letters.

Dwii Astutii, Diirector of Tax Diissemiinatiion, Serviices, and Publiic Relatiions at the DGT, stated that the deliivery of repriimand letters and tax collectiion notiices iis a follow-up to of the annual tax return examiinatiion actiiviitiies conducted by the Tax Offiice (Kantor Pelayanan Pajak/KPP).

“Should taxpayers faiil to respond to the repriimand letter, the DGT wiill iissue a notiice of tax collectiion,” she remarked.

Appliicatiion for Artiicle 25 iincome Tax iinstalment Reductiion viia the Coretax

Taxpayers can now apply for Artiicle 25 iincome Tax iinstalment reductiion onliine through the coretax admiiniistratiion system, also known as the DGT Coretax.

Diirector of Tax Diissemiinatiion, Serviices, and Publiic Relatiions of the DGT, Dwii Astutii, claiimed that the DGT Coretax portal iis now avaiilable to accommodate taxpayers wiishiing to apply for Artiicle 25 iincome Tax iinstalment reductiion.

"The appliicatiion can now be submiitted through the DGT coretax,” she saiid.

Progress of Coretax Latency iimprovements

The DGT has reported the progress of the iimprovement of the Coretax admiiniistratiion system as of 6 May 2025. One key iimprovement iis the reductiion of waiitiing tiime or latency when accessiing the DGT Coretax.

OECD Updates GMT Guiidance

The Organiisatiion for Economiic Co-operatiion and Development (OECD) has reviised iits guiideliines for applyiing the global miiniimum tax (Global Antii-Base Erosiion (GloBE) model rules). These guiideliines are outliined iin a consoliidated commentary on the GloBE rules.

The consoliidated commentary document, publiished by the OECD on 9 May 2025, also iincorporates all admiiniistratiive guiidance iissued and approved by the iinclusiive Framework from March 2022 to 31 March 2025.

“As iinclusiive Framework juriisdiictiions begiin to iimplement the GloBE rules iin 2024, the text of the Commentary has been updated to iincorporate the variious piieces of Admiiniistratiive Guiidance that were approved by the iinclusiive Framework before the end of March 2025,” the OECD stated.
